Sirens echoed loudly through the quiet suburban Dallas neighborhood street.
The red and blue emergency lights flashed through grand front windows.
Two uniformed police officers burst through the open double entry doors.
They moved quickly across the foyer with their hands on holsters.
Officer Miller: Stay right where you are, everybody stay calm now!
David looked up at the officers while keeping Clara supported.
David: The suspect is upstairs on the second floor balcony level.
Officer Miller: Is anyone in need of immediate medical attention here?
David: My wife fell from the top floor after being pushed.
The second officer ran up the curved marble staircase quickly.
Victoria backed away from the upper railing in complete horror.
Victoria: You have no authority to touch me in my home!
Officer Davis: Ma'am, place your hands behind your back immediately right now!
Victoria tried to pull away from the officer's firm grasp.
The officer clicked the silver handcuffs securely around her wrists.
Victoria: This is a massive misunderstanding between two loving sisters!
Officer Davis: You have the right to remain completely silent right now.
They led Victoria down the broad marble stairs into the foyer.
Clara watched her sister descend while leaning against David's arm.
Clara: Why did you do this to our family name, Victoria?
Victoria: You forced my hand by threatening my business corporate assets!
David: She did not threaten anything, she requested her legal share!
The paramedics entered the house with a folding emergency stretcher.
They knelt beside Clara to check her pulse and vital signs.
Paramedic: Her heart rate is elevated, but she appears stable now.
Clara: I just want this awful night to finally be over.
David: I am staying right by your side through all of this.
Officer Miller opened his small black notebook to write details.
Officer Miller: Sir, did you witness the entire incident from the entry?
David: Yes, I saw Victoria physically push her over the railing.
Victoria: He is lying to protect her rights to the estate!
Officer Miller: Save your statements for the detective at the station.
The officers escorted Victoria out through the heavy grand doors.
The door clicked shut behind them as the foyer fell silent.
Clara closed her eyes and let out a long trembling breath.
Clara: Our mother's mansion feels so cold and dark tonight.
David: We are going to make everything right, I promise you.
