The Sister Who Wanted Everything

When A Jealous Sister Pushed Her Too Far At Home

The morning sun filtered through the high windows of the Dallas mansion.

Clara walked quietly along the polished marble hallway on the second floor.

She carried a thin blue folder containing her late mother's legal papers.

The house had belonged to her parents for over thirty long years.

After her mother passed away, everything changed inside the quiet estate.

Her elder sister Victoria had taken control of the whole family business.

Victoria always believed she deserved the entire family fortune for herself.

She looked down at Clara as if she were a total stranger.

Victoria: What are you doing in this hallway, Clara?

Clara paused near the decorative white balustrade railing above the foyer.

Clara: I am looking for my official copy of the trust fund.

Victoria: You have no legal rights to anything inside this mansion.

Clara: Our mother wanted both of us to share this estate equally.

Victoria: Mother was soft and made a massive mistake with her will!

Clara held the blue file folder tightly against her white slip dress.

She felt a sudden chill run down her entire spine.

Clara: The divorce lawyer confirmed my share of the life insurance yesterday.

Victoria: That money belongs to the main corporate account I manage!

Clara: You cannot rewrite the law just because you are angry.

Victoria took two fast steps across the cold white floor tiles.

Her bright red dress rustled loudly against the grand wooden doors.

Victoria: I built this company into a multimillion dollar power house!

Clara: You took over after father died, but you never owned it.

Victoria: I will not let you ruin my standing in Dallas society!

Clara backed up until her lower back touched the smooth railing.

She looked down into the massive foyer two stories below them.

Clara: Please calm down so we can talk like adult sisters.

Victoria: We have nothing left to discuss about our mother's money!

Victoria reached out and grabbed Clara by her delicate white shoulders.

Clara tried to pull away, but the grip was sharp and firm.

Clara: Let go of me right now, Victoria!

Victoria: You will sign away your rights before the week ends!

Clara: I will never sign my inheritance over to you!

Victoria gave a sudden harsh push against Clara's chest.

Clara lost her balance near the edge of the open floor.

She gasped in terror as her feet slipped backward on marble.

The file folder slipped out of her hands and scattered paper.

Victoria glared down at her sister with cold, unyielding anger.

Victoria: You brought this upon yourself by coming here today!

Clara grabbed the wooden top rail with one trembling hand.

Her heart hammered against her ribs as she looked down below.

She knew she was in serious danger high above the floor.
