The heavy front doors swung open as two uniformed officers entered the mansion.
They moved quickly across the marble floor, their eyes scanning the huge home.
Arthur leaned over the upper railing, calling out to the officers clearly.
"Up here, officers!" Arthur yelled down to them with urgency.
"She is locked inside the corner dressing room down this hallway."
The lead officer, a stern American cop named Officer Davis, nodded firmly.
He unclipped his duty belt gear as he hurried up the grand stairs.
"Is the child unharmed, sir?" Officer Davis asked as he reached the top.
"He is safe in my arms," Arthur answered, his voice steadying.
"She attempted to harm him to bypass our inheritance structure today."
Officer Davis approached the locked oak door and knocked aggressively with his knuckles.
"Dallas Police Department! Open this door immediately!" the officer commanded loudly.
Inside the room, the sound of breaking glass and opening drawers suddenly stopped.
"I am coming out! Don't shoot!" Victoria yelled from behind the heavy door.
The lock clicked loudly, and the brass door handle slowly turned downward.
Victoria stepped out into the hallway, holding a small leather travel bag.
Her eyes darted frantically between the officer and her husband standing nearby.
"Officer, my husband is delusional!" Victoria shouted, pointing her finger forward.
"He attacked me, and I was simply trying to protect myself!"
Officer Davis did not hesitate for a single second.
He stepped forward quickly and grabbed Victoria's wrist with practiced speed.
He spun her around and pulled her hands behind her back firmly.
The metallic sound of handcuffs clicking rang clearly through the quiet corridor.
"Stop! πΊπΈ" Victoria shrieked, struggling against the heavy metal cuffs.
"You have no right to put your hands on me like this!"
"You have the right to remain silent, ma'am," Officer Davis stated calmly.
"Anything you say can and will be used against you in court."
Victoria began to cry hysterically as the cold steel locked onto her wrists.
Arthur watched her closely, holding little Leo snugly against his chest.
He felt no joy in seeing her arrested, only profound relief.
The second officer stepped up to secure Victoria's personal leather bag.
Inside, several passports and large stacks of cash were clearly visible.
"Looks like someone was planning a very fast getaway," the second officer noted.
Victoria glared at Arthur with pure hatred as she was guided away.
"You ruined everything, Arthur!" she screamed as they moved toward the stairs.
"You were supposed to sign those estate papers weeks ago!"
Arthur simply shook his head, refusing to answer her desperate taunts.
