The Master Strike

A Wealthy Grandmother Discovers the Secret Her Family Tried Hiding

Margaret smiled faintly, a cold, sharp smile that contained absolutely no warmth or kindness whatsoever.

"You forgot to read the fine print of the family charter, my foolish young grandson."

At that exact moment, the boardroom doors swung open again with a loud, heavy click.

Mr. Harrison Vance stepped into the office, flanked by two uniformed city police officers behind.

Arthur’s eyes went wide with sudden shock as he backed away against the large window.

"What is the meaning of this?" Arthur demanded, his voice cracking with sudden, rising panic.

"Arthur Vance, you are under arrest for domestic abuse, reckless endangerment, and fraud," an officer said.

"Harrison, explain to him what happens to his corporate voting shares now," Margaret commanded smoothly.

The lawyer unbuttoned his suit jacket calmly and pulled out an official legal document binder.

"Under clause nine of the Vance Family Trust, any officer committing gross moral turpitude forfeits control."

"Your voting rights were automatically revoked fifteen minutes ago when Mrs. Vance signed the emergency decree."

"All your personal bank accounts, luxury vehicles, and corporate credit cards have been fully frozen."

"You no longer work for Vance Enterprises, nor do you own a single square inch here."

Arthur stared at his grandmother in absolute disbelief, his arrogant confidence completely crumbling into dust.

"Grandmother, please! We are family! You cannot destroy my entire future over that girl!"

"Emily is family," Margaret corrected him sternly, watching the officers step forward with handcuffs.

"You are merely a disgrace who mistook my silence for permission to act like a monster."

The metal cuffs clicked loudly around Arthur’s wrists as he struggled against the officers' hold.

They led him away out of the executive suite, his desperate shouting fading down hallway.

Margaret took a deep, steady breath, feeling the heavy weight lift off her elderly shoulders.

She walked over to the floor-to-ceiling glass window and looked out across the busy city.

The sun was beginning to set, painting the sky in deep shades of gold and purple.

She knew that repairing the damage Arthur had caused would take a very long time.

However, the dangerous cycle of fear and secret abuse had finally been broken for good.
