Victoria: Brandon, don't say such terrible things! I love Leo like he's my own child!
Brandon: You never loved him, Victoria! You only wanted the lifestyle that came with being my wife!
Victoria: That is not true! I gave up my career in New York to move into this Dallas estate with you!
Brandon: You gave up your career because your family was bankrupt and you needed my estate trust fund to clear your debts!
Victoria: How can you accuse me of such awful things on our anniversary week?!
Brandon: Because I'm not a fool anymore, Victoria! I saw how you looked at Leo ever since my late wife's will was finalized last month!
Victoria's face hardened, the fake panic in her eyes slowly turning into something dark and cold as she straightened her back.
Victoria: That will was unfair, Brandon. Your late wife left eighty percent of the estate directly to an infant!
Brandon: She left her estate to her biological son! That money was meant for Leo's future, his healthcare, and his education!
Victoria: And what about my future?! If something happened to that child, his trust fund would have reverted directly to you and your legal spouse!
Brandon felt a sudden wave of nausea wash over him as the full, sickening weight of her words landed in his chest.
Brandon: You... you wanted him gone so you could inherit the trust fund?
Victoria: I didn't say that! You're putting words in my mouth!
Brandon: That's why you held him over the railing today, wasn't it?! You wanted to make it look like a tragic household accident!
Victoria: Nobody can prove anything, Brandon! It's my word against a maid's word in a court of law!
Brandon: You think I need a court of law to know what kind of monster you are?!
Down in the foyer, the sound of loud footsteps echoed as Clara walked back into the main hall holding little Leo, who was slowly calming down in her arms.
Clara: Mr. Sterling! The paramedics and the Dallas police officers are on the phone line right now!
Brandon: Tell them to send multiple police units to the estate immediately, Clara! Tell them there was an attempted murder inside this mansion!
Victoria: Attempted murder?! Brandon, have you completely lost your mind?! You can't call the police on your wife!
Brandon: You stopped being my wife the moment you dropped my child over this railing!
Victoria: I will sue you for everything you own if you put my name in a police report! My father's legal team will destroy your corporate reputation!
Brandon: Your father's legal team can try, Victoria. But they won't be able to do much once the police review the security footage from this morning!
