The lead officer motioned to his partner to secure the main hallway.
The second officer stepped forward and grabbed Chloe's trembling wrist.
Chloe tried to pull away but her heels slipped on marble.
Chloe: Get your filthy hands off my expensive designer red dress!
Officer: You are under arrest for attempted fraud and unlawful confinement.
Chloe: You cannot do this to me, I am Mrs. Bennett!
Carter: You were never a real Bennett in heart or character.
Carter pulled out his personal phone and showed the officer video logs.
The security camera near the back gate had recorded everything yesterday night.
It showed Chloe meeting with the corrupt cremation driver at night.
She had handed him an envelope filled with thick stacks of cash.
The evidence against her was clear and completely impossible to deny.
The two hired guards immediately backed away and raised their hands.
Guard: We were just hired for basic private security today, sir.
Guard: We had no idea about any forged documents or illegal plans.
Officer: Take those two outside for questioning as well right now.
The second officer placed silver metal handcuffs on Chloe's wrists firmly.
The sharp click of the handcuffs echoed through the large marble foyer.
Chloe began to sob loudly as her pride collapsed completely away.
All her evil plans to seize the estate had failed in minutes.
She looked at Carter with eyes full of deep regret and defeat.
Chloe: Please, Carter, tell them to let me go home today!
Carter: You chose this terrible path out of pure selfish greed.
The officers led Chloe out through the large double front doors.
The cool morning breeze rushed into the bright open entrance hall.
The dark heavy atmosphere inside the mansion finally vanished completely now.
