Carter marched back into the grand marble foyer with extreme confidence.
Chloe turned around sharply as she saw Carter walking toward her.
Her eyes were filled with desperate malice and cold fear combined.
Chloe: You should have minded your own business in New York city!
Carter: This is my family home and you are a greedy criminal!
Chloe: I spent ten years taking care of this huge dull house!
Chloe: I deserve every single dollar in that trust fund account now!
Carter: You deserve a cold prison cell for what you just did!
Chloe turned to the two big guards standing beside the doorway.
Chloe: Grab him and lock him inside the basement right now!
The two guards took a step forward toward Carter with stern expressions.
Before they could reach him, the heavy front doors swung wide open.
A tall security officer wearing a blue uniform walked straight inside.
Behind him stood two city police officers with dark leather belts.
The lead officer looked around the grand white marble entrance hall.
Guard: We received an emergency silent alarm signal from this address.
Carter: Officer, this woman trapped my grandmother and forged legal documents!
Carter pointed directly at the document lying on the marble table.
The police officer walked over and picked up the paper carefully.
He read the fake cremation authorization with a very serious look.
Chloe: Officers, my stepson is lying to cover his own theft!
Chloe: He is trying to take control of my late husband's money!
Maid: She is telling complete lies, I witnessed everything she did!
Sarah stepped out from the hallway holding Mrs. Bennett's signed diary.
Maid: Mrs. Bennett wrote down every threat Chloe made this week!
The police officer looked from the diary to Chloe's pale face.
Chloe stepped back slowly toward the high marble staircase again.
She looked around the massive room like a trapped scared animal.
Officer: Ma'am, do not move another step away from us right now.
