Mark kept his phone pressed tight to his ear as he spoke to the operator.
"Send officers to the address right now, my daughter was put in grave danger!"
Victoria ran toward the hallway doors, looking for a way to escape the mansion.
Mark carried Lily safely in one arm while he walked toward the front entrance.
He locked the grand front doors from the inside so no one could run away.
Outside, the loud sound of blaring police sirens echoed down the long private drive.
Within two minutes, bright red and blue lights flashed through the high glass windows.
Mark unlocked the heavy wooden doors and pulled them open for the responding officers.
Two American police officers in dark uniforms rushed rapidly into the high mansion foyer.
Their boots clicked loudly against the pristine marble tile floor as they looked around.
"Where is the suspect, sir?" the lead officer asked Mark with a serious expression.
Mark pointed his arm straight up toward the grand staircase leading to the balcony above.
"She is upstairs in the main hallway, trying to hide!" Mark shouted to them.
The two officers drew their equipment and ran rapidly up the wide carpeted stairs.
Victoria stepped out from the library room, crying heavily with wide terrified eyes.
"Please, stop! It was just a terrible mistake!" Victoria panicked as they reached her.
The officers moved in quickly and grabbed her wrists firmly behind her velvet back.
They clicked metal handcuffs securely around her wrists while reading her legal rights out loud.
She stood crying right beside the giant American flag hanging on the upper wall surface.
Mark watched from the bottom floor while holding little baby Lily close to his chest.
The lead officer brought Victoria down the grand staircase step by step toward the door.
"You will answer for what happened here today," the officer stated in a stern voice.
Victoria looked at Mark with tears ruining her dark face makeup as she walked past.
Mark did not say another word to her as the officers led her out into custody.
