He picked up the dented brass locket from the floor and held it gently in his palm.
"From this day on, you are more than just a nanny to this family," Richard declared.
He promised to double Sarah’s salary and grant her full authority over the home staff.
The trust fund documents were safely gathered, re-signed, and stored in a secure bank vault.
