Sarah's face turned pale white as the video clip finished playing.
She tried to back out of the security room very slowly.
Sarah: The video is not real, Richard, you must believe me!
Richard: I saw you push our daughter with my own eyes!
Clara: Sarah Vance, you are under arrest for child endangerment.
Clara quickly pulled out her handcuffs and secured Sarah's hands behind her back.
Sarah began to cry loudly, but no one felt any sympathy now.
Sarah: I needed the trust fund control right away!
Richard: You risked our baby's life for mere money!
Detective Clara led the crying woman out to the waiting patrol car.
Then she called the station to release Elena from her holding cell.
An hour later Elena walked out into the front lobby free.
Richard Vance was waiting near the doors with tears in his eyes.
He walked up to Elena and bowed his head in heavy shame.
Richard: I am so sorry for believing those horrible lies.
Elena: You should have checked the facts before calling the police.
Richard: You saved my daughter's life while my wife risked it.
Elena: I only cared about keeping baby Lily safe today.
Richard handed Elena an envelope with a large bonus payment inside.
Richard: This will secure your full salary for many years ahead.
Elena accepted the gift and decided to leave the mansion forever.
