Mounted high among the thick green leaves sat a small black security camera.
Arthur had installed the brand new surveillance system just two weeks prior.
Victoria had forgotten that the wide lens covered every inch of the pool area.
A small red indicator light was actively blinking on the camera body.
It had recorded every second of the push and the heroic rescue.
Clara raised her hand again and pointed directly at the hidden device.
Clara: Check the security camera in the hedges right now, Mr. Sterling!
Victoria's face instantly lost all of its remaining fake color.
She glanced toward the hedge and saw the tiny red light flashing clearly.
Victoria: Arthur, there is no need to make a scene over a simple misunderstanding.
Arthur: If there is a video, I want to see exactly what happened out here.
Arthur pulled his smartphone out from his inner jacket pocket right away.
He opened the security application that gave him direct access to the live feed.
Victoria stepped back slowly toward the dark glass doors of the mansion.
Arthur tapped on the playback feature for the pool terrace camera.
The high-definition video loaded onto his small screen in a few seconds.
Arthur watched the crisp video recording with growing shock and absolute horror.
The footage clearly showed Victoria walking up behind Julian's wheelchair silently.
It showed her gripping the rubber handles with deliberate and heavy force.
It showed her shoving the wheelchair straight into the deep pool water without mercy.
It also showed Clara diving in without a second thought to save his son.
Arthur's hands began to shake with intense fury as the clip finished playing.
He looked up from his phone screen with utter disgust in his eyes.
Victoria turned around quickly and tried to sprint back toward the main driveway.
She knew her evil scheme had been exposed beyond any shadow of doubt.
