The Hole In The Drywall

The Hidden Secret Daughter Behind His Mansion Hallway Wall

Ryan looked at his wife with deep confusion and growing suspicion in his eyes.

Her reaction was not normal for a mother defending her home against a stranger.

She was not reaching for her cell phone to dial emergency dispatch for help.

Instead, she was trying to cover the vent opening with her long floral dress.

Ryan: Why are you telling me not to check our own home walls?

Sarah: Just back away and let me handle this private matter, please!

Ryan pulled his arm away from her frantic grasp with one swift movement.

He walked over to the hallway closet and grabbed a heavy steel claw hammer.

Sarah screamed out in terror as she backed away toward the front entry door.

Sarah: Stop, Ryan, you do not know what you are doing right now!

Ryan did not hesitate for another single second in his own sunlit home hallway.

He slammed the back of the heavy hammer directly into the soft white drywall sheet.

The plaster cracked loudly with a sharp sound that echoed off the high ceiling.

Dust flew everywhere in the air as chunks of drywall fell onto the carpet.

Ryan pulled away a large square section of the outer wall framing structure.

Behind the wall was a hidden room that was not listed on any blueprints.

It was a narrow rectangular space illuminated only by a single small battery light.

Sitting on a small woolen blanket was a filthy young girl around four years old.

She was wearing faded pink pajamas that were far too small for her body.

In her lap, she tightly hugged an old brown teddy bear with one eye missing.

Ryan dropped his hammer onto the hardwood floor with a loud metallic thud sound.

He stared at the young child while his mind raced to comprehend the scene.

The little girl blinked against the bright daylight streaming in from the opened hole.

She looked up directly into Ryan's face with large dark emotional eyes.

Hidden Child: Dad, are you finally coming to get me out of here?

Ryan felt his throat tighten so hard that he could barely breathe out loud.

He reached down into the hidden framing cavity with both of his shaking hands.

Near the child's small bare feet lay a dusty plastic photo frame face down.

Ryan picked up the photograph and wiped the white plaster dust off the glass surface.

The photo showed Sarah standing in a hospital room holding two identical newborn babies.

Ryan had only ever been told that Lily was an only child during birth.

He turned his head slowly to glare directly at his wife across the hall.

Ryan: Why did this little child just call me her dad right now?

Sarah buried her face in her hands and began to sob uncontrollably against the door.

Sarah: I wanted to tell you the truth so many times over the years!

Ryan: You hid my twin daughter inside a hollow wall cavity for four years?
