Victoria: Brandon, please! Take a deep breath and look around you! All of our business partners, the press, and our family friends are standing right here watching us!
Brandon: Let them watch! I want every single person in Dallas to see exactly what kind of people you and your mother truly are!
Eleanor: We are respected members of the Dallas community, Brandon! My daughter put her entire life on hold to marry you and help raise your motherless child!
Brandon: Help raise him? You just kicked a plate out of a ten-year-old boy's hand and laughed when glass shattered at his feet!
Victoria: Mother didn't mean to kick it that hard! The boy stepped into her path suddenly, and she was trying to protect her dress!
Leo: That's not true, Dad! I was standing completely still! She looked right at me and kicked her foot out on purpose!
Brandon: I know, buddy. I believe you. You don't have to explain anything to anyone.
Brandon gently ushered Leo behind him, keeping his body positioned like a shield between his small son and the two women dressed in luxury gowns.
Eleanor: The boy is a liar, Brandon! He's been trying to sabotage this wedding ever since Victoria moved into the estate six months ago!
Brandon: Leo has done nothing but try to make you feel welcome! He made you a greeting card last week that you threw straight into the office wastebasket!
Victoria: I didn't throw it away! It... it fell off my desk by accident!
Brandon: I saw it sitting right under the trash bag, Victoria. I kept quiet because I thought you were just overwhelmed with the wedding planning, but today opened my eyes completely.
Eleanor: You're throwing away a multi-million-dollar merger between our family estates over a child's tantrum? Have you lost your mind?
Brandon: My estate doesn't need your family's money, Eleanor. And my son's emotional well-being is worth more than every trust fund in Texas!
Victoria: Brandon, think about the prenuptial agreement we signed last Friday! You agreed to consolidate our family holdings into the main trust!
Brandon: The prenup contains a specific clause regarding child mistreatment and domestic conduct, Victoria. Did you forget that part?
Victoria's face paled under her polished makeup, her eyes darting nervously toward her mother as she smoothed down the front of her white lace gown.
Victoria: What... what clause are you talking about?
Brandon: Clause fourteen. If either party demonstrates abusive or hostile behavior toward any dependent child prior to the ceremony, the agreement is rendered entirely null and void immediately.
Eleanor: That's absurd! No family court judge in Dallas would count a spilled glass of soda as domestic abuse!
Brandon: But a judge will certainly count intentional endangerment and emotional cruelty captured on high-definition security cameras!
Victoria: Security cameras?
Brandon: My estate security system records full 4K video and audio across every square inch of this patio. Every word your mother spoke and every kick she delivered was recorded from three different angles.
Eleanor: You... you are recording us right now?
Brandon: I record everything on my property, Eleanor. And right now, those video files are already saved directly to my server.
Leo: Dad, my shoes are still wet with the soda...
Brandon: Come here, Leo. Let me unlace those shoes for you right now.
Brandon knelt back down on the dry section of the lawn, quickly unfastening his son's shiny shoes and sliding them off his small feet so the cold soda wouldn't soak into his socks.
Brandon: Better?
Leo: Yeah... thanks, Dad.
Brandon: Stay right here on the grass with me. Nobody is ever going to intimidate you in your own home again.
Victoria: Brandon, please, let's go inside the house and talk about this privately. We don't have to end everything in front of all these people!
Brandon: There is nothing left to discuss, Victoria. Pack your bags and get off my property before I have security escort you out in front of the local news reporters.
