Richard: What did she just say to you, Maya? Look at me, sweetheart. Tell me exactly what she said.
Maya: She said... she said Mommy left because I was sick, and that if I don't call her Mom, something terrible will happen to Mommy!
Victoria: Richard, darling, don't listen to her dramatizing things. The girl had a sudden feverish panic attack, and I was merely trying to cool her down.
Richard: Cool her down? By pouring ice water all over a child in a wheelchair?
Victoria: It's an old home remedy my family used for high fevers! I was only trying to help your daughter before the wedding rehearsal!
Maya: She's lying, Daddy! She dumped the pitcher on me on purpose! She told me Mommy was gone forever because of my medical bills!
Richard: Is this true, Victoria? Did you tell a sick child that her mother abandoned her because of trust fund expenses and medical costs?
Victoria: Oh, don't be so sensitive, Richard! The girl is confused. Her memory has been completely unreliable ever since her accident!
Richard: Do not talk about my daughter like she isn't sitting right here in front of us!
Victoria pulled her golden sequined dress tight, taking a step back while keeping her arms crossed with a cold, unbothered expression.
Victoria: I am going to be her stepmother by seven o'clock tonight. I have a right to establish discipline in this household!
Richard: Discipline? She is ten years old and recovering from spine surgery! You poured freezing water on her head!
Victoria: You're overreacting, just like you always do whenever she sheds a few fake tears!
Maya: I'm not lying, Daddy! Check the kitchen counter! She had a whole bowl of ice ready!
Richard turned his head toward the marble kitchen island, spotting a heavy stainless steel bowl filled with ice and slush.
Richard: You prepared a bucket of ice water beforehand?
Victoria: I prepared a cold compress! Is caring for your family now considered a crime in this mansion?
Richard: You call this caring?!
Richard stood up rapidly, his jaw tight with unbridled fury as his heavy footsteps echoed across the high-ceilinged room.
Victoria: Where are you going? Richard, stand still and talk to me like an adult!
Richard: I have listened to enough of your poison for a lifetime!
Richard marched directly over to the kitchen counter, his hands gripping the edges of the stainless steel bowl with white knuckles.
Victoria: What are you doing with that bowl?
Richard: Showing you exactly how a cold shock feels!
With a sudden, violent turn, Richard hurled the entire bowl of ice cubes and freezing water straight across the room, sending it crashing onto the polished floor right at Victoria's feet.
Victoria: AHH! Are you insane?! You almost hit my designer shoes!
Richard: I don't care about your shoes, your dress, or your fake status!
As the water spilled across the floor, the metal bowl tumbled to its side, revealing a heavy, custom-made diamond engagement ring resting at the very bottom of the melting ice.
Richard: Look down at that floor, Victoria!
Victoria: What... what is that?
Richard: Believe that, brat, and this wedding is over!
Victoria: Richard, no! You can't call off the wedding over a silly household argument!
Richard: This isn't an argument! You tormented my disabled child and lied to my face about her mother!
Victoria: I gave up my life in New York to move into this mansion with you! You signed the prenuptial agreement last week!
Richard: That prenup isn't worth the paper it's printed on, and neither are you!
