Mark walked slowly toward Clara and took his crying daughter into his arms.
He checked baby Lily carefully to make sure she was completely unharmed.
Once he saw the baby was safe, his eyes turned cold and firm.
He looked directly up at Vanessa, who was shaking with sudden nervous fear.
Mark: Vanessa, tell me the absolute truth right now.
Vanessa: I told you, Mark, the waitress was careless and dropped it!
Mark: Clara has taken care of my child for two entire years without error.
Vanessa: Are you taking the side of a servant over your own fiancée?
Clara: She has hated Lily from the very first day, Mr. Mark.
Clara: She wants the family inheritance and estate all for herself.
Vanessa's face turned completely pale as Clara spoke those powerful words.
Vanessa: Shut your mouth, you foolish woman!
Mark: Do not speak to her like that in my presence ever again!
Mark handed the calm baby back into Clara's safe and loving arms.
He took three steps closer to Vanessa and stood directly over her.
Mark: You thought I would blindly believe your lies without proof?
Vanessa: What proof could anyone possibly have against me?
Mark pulled his smartphone out of his pocket and unlocked the screen.
He held the phone up right in front of Vanessa's terrified eyes.
Mark: I installed new security cameras above the staircase last night.
Vanessa gasped loudly as her eyes caught the video playing on screen.
The video clearly showed her hand pushing the stroller toward the stairs.
It showed Clara sliding across the floor to save the helpless baby.
There was no way for Vanessa to deny the truth any longer.
