Victoria fell to her knees on the hard marble floor, sobbing hysterically and holding her face.
Her stunning royal-sapphire blue gown lay crumpled around her like trash on the ground.
Arthur turned to the two police officers who had been standing by the front entrance.
"Officers, arrest this woman immediately for attempted child abuse and aggravated assault," Arthur ordered.
The officers moved forward without hesitation, pulling Victoria up from the marble floor forcefully.
They grabbed her wrists firmly behind her back while she screamed and struggled against them.
The sharp metallic sound of steel handcuffs ratcheting shut echoed clearly through the silent foyer.
"You can't do this to me! Do you know who I am?!" Victoria shrieked as they secured her wrists.
Arthur stepped right up to her face, his cold eyes filled with total and unforgiving disgust.
"You are leaving this house in handcuffs for life, Victoria," Arthur stated with chilling calm.
"My legal team will make sure you spend many years behind bars for what you did today."
The police officers turned Victoria around and began marching her out the heavy double doors.
The party guests watched in silence as the cruel woman was led away into the waiting police car.
Once the doors closed behind her, the heavy tension in the grand foyer finally broke away.
Arthur walked over to Clara and knelt down on the marble floor right in front of her.
He picked up his crying son, lifting Leo into his strong arms and holding him tight.
"Thank you," Arthur said, his voice choking with genuine emotion as he looked at Clara.
"You saved my boy's life today when no one else was paying attention."
Clara smiled softly, wiping a stray tear from her own eye with the corner of her apron.
"I just did what any decent person would do, Mr. Williamson," Clara answered quietly.
Arthur shook his head firmly, refusing to minimize the brave act she had just performed.
"You risked your job and your safety to protect my child from a cruel person," Arthur said.
"Starting today, you will never have to work as a catering waitress ever again."
