Sarah walked back into the central lobby holding her legal folder and a designer bag.
She noticed Mark standing near the center of the marble floor with his arms crossed.
Sarah: Where are the children, Mark? We need to leave for the airport now.
Mark: They are staying right here with me where they are safe.
Sarah: You cannot stop me from taking my own children on vacation!
Mark: This is not a vacation, Sarah, this is an illegal getaway attempt.
Sarah's face turned completely pale as Mark pointed toward the corporate security locker.
Mark: I found the forged offshore transfer records inside Emily's carrier backpack.
Sarah: You had no right to go through her personal belongings!
Mark: You used our disabled daughter to hide stolen corporate assets from the authorities!
A crowd of company employees began to gather around the edges of the white lobby.
Sarah looked around nervously as she realized that her plan was falling apart quickly.
She clutched her expensive leather purse tightly against her waist and took a step back.
Sarah: I brought capital to this marriage, and I am taking what belongs to me!
Mark: You stole three million dollars directly from our children's trust fund accounts!
The surrounding employees gasped in shock at Mark's intense and direct statement.
Sarah turned around quickly and tried to march toward the main glass exit doors.
Two uniformed police officers stepped through the front entrance and blocked her path completely.
David, Mark's senior corporate lawyer, walked right behind the two police officers.
David: Mrs. Sarah Miller, please stop right where you are for a moment.
Sarah: Get out of my way, I have a flight to catch in an hour!
Officer: Ma'am, we have a warrant to inspect those financial documents in your hands.
Sarah backed away from the officers until her back pressed against a marble column.
She looked at Mark with deep hatred filling her narrow blue eyes.
Sarah: You ruined everything I worked so hard to build for myself!
Mark: You ruined this family the moment you put our kids in danger today.
