The pristine white marble floor of the Dallas mansion glinted under the crystal chandeliers as baby Noah happily crawled across the foyer. Clad only in a clean diaper, the nine-month-old giggled softly, his tiny hands reaching toward the soft sunlight streaming through the tall arched windows. Right behind him on the white wall hung a framed American flag, a quiet symbol of the noble family name he was born into. Noah smiled wide, completely unaware of the shadow falling over him.
Clara: Get out of my way, you brat!
The harsh voice echoed through the high-ceilinged hallway. Clara, dressed in an expensive green sequined gown, marched down the grand hall with sharp, aggressive strides. Her eyes flashed with bitter hatred as she looked down at her fiancé’s infant son blocking her path.
Noah: Ba-ba?
Without slowing down for a single second, Clara lifted her leg and kicked out hard with her designer high heel. The sharp tip caught the baby straight in his fragile side, knocking him flat onto the cold marble floor.
Noah lay on his side, paralyzed in shock for a split second before a piercing, hysterical wail tore from his tiny throat. Tears streamed rapidly down his flushed red cheeks as he cried in intense pain and distress.
Clara: You shouldn't be crawling where adults walk, you useless little parasite.
Before Clara could take another step toward her private dressing quarters, a figure in a blue-and-white uniform darted out from the side kitchen entrance. Maria, the family’s loyal maid, dropped her cleaning cloth and rushed forward frantically.
Maria: How dare you hurt a helpless baby, you insolent wretch!
Clara: Mind your tongue, housemaid! You're talking to the future mistress of this estate!
Maria: You are a monster! He is just an innocent child!
Maria fell to her knees, gently scooping the weeping infant into her protective arms and pressing him close to her chest to soothe his shaking body. Clara stopped at the end of the hall, turning her head back with a cold, unbothered smirk that showed zero regret.
Clara: Keep crying, both of you. Once the trust fund paperwork is signed today, you’ll both be tossed onto the street.
At that exact moment, the heavy oak double doors of the mansion swung wide open. Brandon Sterling, a wealthy CEO dressed in a sharp black suit, stepped into the foyer after a long flight from New York. The sound of his son's frantic screams made his blood run cold.
Brandon: What is going on here?
Clara: Brandon! Thank goodness you're home darling! The maid just dropped your son on the floor!
The monstrous lie hung in the air, setting off a chain of events that would shatter the wealthy family forever.
